Skating is for everyone! Impala Roller Skates are built for recreational skating – whether it’s at the beach, the rink, or in the skatepark, making them the perfect beginner’s skates to get started. Our range of fun and colourful roller skate designs are also available in smaller sizes for junior skaters.

Our kid’s roller skates are designed for comfort with padded collar and tongue, and feature metal speed lace eyelets for quick and easy lacing. They’re also made with 58mm 82A urethane wheels and long wearing polyurethane stoppers that allow safe ‘grab-free’ braking. 

How to choose the size of roller skates for children?

Impala rollerskates goes from size EU 34 to 46 // US 3 to 14 // UK 1 to 12. We recommend selecting your regular size when choosing your pair. However if you are in between two sizes or have wide feet, we recommend to size up. For kids, it is important to consider the fact that they’re still growing up in order not to buy a pair in which they’ll feel tight in a few weeks only. 

At what age can you start rollerblading?

You can start rollerblading at any age as soon as the children has some balance and interest in the activity. It is a great sport which help children to develop their coordination and stability. Quad skates can also be used as a way of transportation for short and medium trips.  However there is one important thing to consider for your kid security : it is more than recommended to use protections when practicing to avoid injuries with a helmet but also wrist, elbow and knees protections.

Quad skates are a great way for kids to exercise while having fun, but before getting started, it is very important to have the right equipment. Here are three criteria to help you finding the right skates for your child. The first one is the quality of the product, it is wise to invest in a good pair of skates, which can be expensive sometimes, in order to insure comfort and safety. The second one is the type of practice your kid prefers: some of them just want to ride in the streets while others want to dance or even do more aggressive tricks. Finally, the style is also an important criterion and for this one, the best is to ask your kid what his favorite is.

True-to-Size Kids Roller Skates

Our youth sizes are equivalent to women’s US 1 to 4, but we recommend converting to EU sizes for that perfect snug fit. If you’re looking for a US half size, we recommend going up to the next full US size while they are still growing. Whether you’re a seasoned skater or just starting off – safety is everything! We have created a range of colourful and fun protective gear in youth sizes, with each pack including elbow pads, knee pads and wrist guards.
